dESCRIPTION
Born from the braggadocios, borderline psychotic social media persona of a high school classmate, The Chosen Juan (self given nickname) is the raunchy tale of a man using his powers of charm, a telekinetic link to his pet fish, and pure, uncut libido to get the love of his life back.
Process
Writing a comic book has always been a dream of mine so I just wanted to see if I could make it happen. I wrote the whole 32-page book, hired a freelance artist and worked with him to get the pen and paper drawings done. To cut costs I opted to do the coloring myself which proved to be the most time-consuming aspect of the project.
As blue as the material is, I'm happy with how it turned out and had a great time seeing the whole thing come together. Using this as a test case, I'm currently working on a completely new book which will hopefully become an episodic series.
