Will Albrecht is a professional writer who moved to New York City in 2014 to stake his claim in whatever industry was hiring. He is a spry, healthy man besides a rare medical condition which causes him to get confused and conflate his own backstory with the plot of the 2011 Steven Spielberg film, War Horse.
After freeing himself from barbed wire with the help from both German and British soldiers during a temporary cease fire, he worked as a copywriter for some of New York’s premiere ad agencies (Y&R, McCann, and Saatchi & Saatchi) before striking out on his own as a freelancer.
He was then taken in and fed plenty of fresh oats by an orphaned French girl and her elderly grandfather, which allowed him the free time to pursue his true passion for comedy writing through classes and shows at the Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB) Theater and the People's Improv Theater (The PIT).
But Will is more than just a brave horse yearning to get back to his best friend, Albert, after the war. He’s a hard worker and a valued team player. He loves a challenge, is well read, and if he practiced a lot and took lessons he'd be a scratch golfer too.
Will would be an asset to any creative team, not only because of his sumptuous mane and perfect hock placement, but also for the writing and concept development abilities he's honed through years of experience with a diverse array of clients and markets.
